I will work with you to create a bespoke piece that truly meets your needs. You may have an idea for how to improve your living space, some materials you’d like to repurpose, or an existing design to use as inspiration.
I can work to your brief, or we can bounce some ideas back and forth. I can make, deliver and install the piece or you can get involved, for example in wood selection and purchase, making and finishing.
I am inspired by the resurgence of industrial furniture, the simplicity and organic edge of modern Danish design, and the stout and practical nature of campaign furniture.
I work with the natural expression of wood, and keenly maintain the provenance of my furniture designs and materials.
I love working with local Victorian, recycled and rescued timbers. The weathering and imprinting of years of use present a nostalgic and sustainable story to build pieces around.
I also enjoy working with new timber; from premium hardwoods like American Walnut to everyday Australian staples like Douglas Fir or Mountain Ash. Even the most humdrum of timbers can be turned into beautiful pieces that will last a lifetime.
I can work with you to design a piece to suit your budget and needs. Prices vary depending on the complexity of the piece, the materials used and the finish and detail of the design. Your quote and price will include the cost of materials, workshop overheads, an estimate of how long the piece will take to make and labour costs.
